Project Spreading Wings
Project ‘Spreading Wings’, supported by British Telecom India (BT) is being launched in Pataudi, Haryana with the purpose of ‘Enabling adolescent girls to become economically, socially and emotionally self-reliant’
Scope of Project:
Holistic development and growth of adolescent girls (12-21 years) to enable them to achieve self-respect, self-reliance and success through education support, life skills development, career guidance, digital literacy, employability and vocational skill development and placement in the organised sector.
Development and deployment of a Career Guidance App
Work with the entire ecosystem of girls to change mind-sets and attitude of parents, brothers, teachers and the larger community towards supporting girls’ development, employment and self-reliance.
Engage with employers in the neighbouring industrial areas to explore and influence equal opportunity and safe working environment policies and hiring practices.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordinating with Industry for understanding entry-level opportunities for vocationally trained girls and boys, influencing employers for becoming equal opportunity employers and making recruitment policies and working environments girl-friendly
Identifying potential recruiters for all skill-sets on offer, tracking Job openings, coordinating interviewsand ensuring 100% placement of every trainee of employment-linked programs
Building relationship with new and maintaining relationship with existing recruiters
Preparing Trainees for employment and the World of Work, conducting training sessions and arranging relevant Guest Lectures
Mentoring trainees and counselling them and their families to ensure placement and retention in jobs
At-least 2-3 years’ experience of Recruitment in the Corporate / Consulting sector or Placement in the Education / Skill development sector
Understanding of skills required for entry level jobs in modern organized sector
Proactive, self-driven and believer in continuous improvement
Empathetic with a desire to help and work with young people from marginalized communities
Good communications skills in Written and Spoken English
Proficiency in Computers and Internet usage
Compensation will be in the range of Rs.25,000 - Rs.35,000 per month, depending upon skills and experience.
